Matt Cheung is a Relationship Manager at BMO Commercial Bank, serving McDonald’s owners and operators on the West Coast. Matt has more than a decade of commercial banking experience focused primarily on debt financing, restructurings, and M&A advisory to restaurant franchisees.
Prior to joining BMO Commercial Bank’s Franchise Finance team in 2016, Matt worked at JPMorgan Chase in their Middle Market Banking Group where he was responsible for underwriting middle market transactions to companies with annual sales of $20 million to $500 million. During his time at JPMorgan Chase, Matt analyzed, structured, risk rated, and approved credit exposures from loans and other commercial banking products. He was also responsible for the on-going monitoring and risk management of a portfolio of clients.
Matt is a graduate of Miami University, Ohio, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance. Matt is based in Orange County, California.
