John is a Managing Director in the Institutional Market Group. He joined BMO in February of 1994 as a Relationship Manager. As part of the Institutional Market within Chicagoland banking, John focuses his relationship management efforts solely on units of government. He currently leads a team of bankers dedicated to calling in the government sector. John has led and participated in bank groups providing liquidity and credit enhancements for bonds issued by: the City of Chicago, Cook County, Chicago Public Schools, and various Illinois Towns and Villages.

Prior to joining BMO, John spent two years at the Illinois Development Finance Authority where he worked closely with various units of local government, structuring bond, loan and lease transactions. Prior to that, he worked for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs in the Small Business Lending Division.
