Dan Murphy is a Managing Director and head of BMO’s Corporate Advisory practice. He regularly serves as a strategic advisor to the owners, Boards of Directors, and C-suite executives of privately held businesses on a variety of topics, including mergers & acquisitions, shareholder buyouts, recapitalizations, ESOPs, ownership transitions, valuation, and liquidity events. Dan has been with BMO since 2012 and has 17 years of corporate finance experience. 

Prior to joining BMO, Dan worked as a management consultant at Galt & Company, a boutique management consulting firm, where he worked on a variety of deep-dive corporate strategy engagements, specializing in corporate transformations of Fortune 500 companies. 

Dan holds an MBA from The University of Chicago, Booth School of Business and a BBA in Finance from University of Notre Dame. A native of the Chicagoland area, Dan relocated to Dallas in 2019, helping to grow BMO’s presence throughout the South and Southwest.
