Deborah Ellis
Senior Vice President, Institutional Markets – Healthcare and Nonprofits
Deborah joined BMO in June 2012 and is currently a Senior Vice President and Director in the Institutional Markets Group. Her past work experience includes retail banking, commercial lending, asset-based lending and private banking. Deborah has spent the bulk of her career as a Commercial Banker and Relationship Manager specializing in Not-For-Profits and Healthcare, with over 20 years of experience in these industries. Deborah has also worked in fundraising for the Diocese of San Diego and was responsible for a $250 million capital campaign to build three new Catholic High Schools in San Diego, CA, thereby demonstrating an even stronger tie with the not-for-profit community. Presently, Deborah serves on the Advisory Board and Event Planning Committee for Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center.
Deborah graduated with honors from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana achieving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. In addition, Deborah also graduated with highest academic honors from DePaul University for her MBA in 2003. She also obtained a Teacher’s Certificate from Indiana University in 1996 and received a full scholarship to study at the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain.
