Shahira serves as Head, Carbon Credit Development Services. Since 2010, she has been engaged in developing Voluntary & Compliance Carbon Credits across a variety of project types, with a focus on nature-based solutions. Shahira and her team have specialized expertise in optimizing the pathways for monetizing decarbonization projects across global environmental commodity markets, project design and execution, the management of data and evidence for recurring serialization and the management of third-party project auditors.  

Prior to joining BMO, Shahira ran the Carbon Advisory team, helping clients navigate the sustainability landscape, mitigating risk and optimizing opportunities. Simply put, Shahira has the skills to help businesses create meaningful environmental impact.
