Head, North American Treasury and Payments Solutions Product Management and Enterprise Payments Modernization
Derek is Head of North American Product Management with BMO’s Treasury & Payments Solutions organization and Enterprise Payments Modernization. His team is responsible for product strategy and development roadmap for a diverse set of treasury products. Additionally, he directs the execution of the enterprise payments modernization strategy and capability roadmap, supporting all lines of business across North America.
Derek has more than 25 years of North American treasury and product management experience, holding numerous senior positions in product and sales including Head of North American Treasury Product Management and Head of Treasury & Payment Solutions Sales for Capital Markets. Throughout his career, Derek has been instrumental in creating value for clients through the advancement of digital capabilities and bringing simplicity to complex financial processes.
Based in Toronto, Derek currently serves on the Board of Directors of Interac Corp. and Board of Governors for Junior Achievement Central Ontario. He is also the Chair of Payments Canada’s Member Advisory Committee (MAC), and previously held a Board position.
Derek holds an Executive MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and Specialized Honours BA in Economics and Business from York University.
