As a dynamic senior advisor and business leader, Eduardo brings to his clients a broad background in financial services plus a track record with a network of talent and contacts in growth oriented and transformative places. As a Latino Segment Head at BMO, he leads the efforts to grow and expand overall banking business in the United States with Hispanic/Latino-led-and-owned companies, owners, and employees by partnering with a large network of influencers and decision makers externally and relationship managers internally. He is also leveraging BMO’s EMpower 2.0, a 5-year commitment $40 billion Community Benefits Plan. The plan reinforces BMO’s focus on increasing home ownership and supporting the growth of small businesses in low-to-moderate income (LMI) neighborhoods and communities of color.
Prior to joining BMO, Eduardo was CEO and founder of Riverwoods.io (a fintech start-up), a shareholder and principal at Spencer Stuart, President at Diners Club International, and Executive Vice President and CEO of Payments at Santander in the U.S. among other senior roles. He earned a B.S. in Production/Industrial Engineering from EAFIT University and an M.B.A. from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
Eduardo is involved with several organizations including Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and he serves regularly on boards. He was recently serving on the boards at RappiPay, Tepper School Alumni, TiendAPP, and the Illinois Finance Authority (IFA). He was also a trustee at Ravinia Festival, and he has served on several other boards including Dinit Card Services, Acculynk, the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA), and the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras.
